I would appreciate some feedback on my keyword research process please

Hi Hassan and everyone,

(I kept posting this question under the H-Educate video but it keeps disappearing, maybe because it was longer than my usual posts(?))

I've been studying the principles of successful Youtubing for a few months now and am almost ready to start a new channel. I would love some assistance with understanding this final phase before I take the plunge.

~ OVERVIEW OF THIS POST ~

I found a keyword term that fits my new channel-to-be that appears to have a decent search volume (for a new channel to tackle) and low competition. Yet H-tools Youtube Keyword search says that it's high difficulty. What could I be missing here?

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ DETAILS ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ YOUTUBE PREDICTIVE SEARCH ~

It is a three-word keyword THAT shows up on the predictive search low down after typing one word, and half way up after typing two words on both an incognito window and from my account.

~ YOUTUBE SEARCH RESULTS FOR KEYWORD ~

When I search it on Utube both in my account AND in an incognito window, the top ranking videos don't use this exact configuration of words. They use them either in a different order or only some of the words. Neither do they have the exact phrase in their descriptions or tags. So I figured that if I use this exact keyword/term I would rank high for it because I'd be the only one using this EXACT phrase.

~ QUESTIONING THESE SEARCH RESULTS ~

On the other hand, it seems like an obvious search term to me, so it's hard to believe that no one is using it exactly in that way. Could the results be inaccurate for some reason?

~ YOUTUBE CHANNELS BY THIS NAME ~

In the results there is one channel that shows up with the keyword as it's name, but in addition to the channel itself being listed only two of it's videos ranked on the first page, so it didn't dominate the page at all. Also, it's a different type of channel than mine will be.

~ DIFFICULTY LEVEL ACCORDING TO TOOLS ~

H-tools and Tubebuddy say that it has medium search volume at around 5K, yet they say that it's a high difficulty level. Why, when no one in the results was using that exact keyword? Surely I would be able to rank for it even as a new channel.

~ MY QUESTION ~

Could these tools be calling it a high difficulty because the search volume of 5K is much lower in comparison to a lot of other search volumes? What else could i be missing here? Am I interpreting the instructions/recommendations for identifying a high search volume and low competition keyword incorrectly? Are there some factors that I'm not taking into account?

I thoroughly look forward to gaining a better understanding of what I'm doing right and wrong in this keyword research process, and what factors I am potentially misunderstanding. Thank you. :)
